Old furniture can be refreshed or new furniture given its own personality with a custom painted finish.  Finishes can be as simple as adding decorative millwork and then a glaze over the paint color.  Painted designs can also be elaborate, specialty items to work within a specific theme in the room.  These types of pieces can simply incorporate small murals onto the furniture surface or be built and painted to mimic things like castles.
